Brief

Michaela Stark is a small but on the rise fashion designer based in London. Her main focus is to deform and morph the body in way to deal with her body dysmorphia. By doing all of that she gains a sense of confidence about her body, because she is the one in charge of what it looks like. The task was to create a new logo and identity for Michaela Stark.

Creative Strategy

Michaela first start each projects using her spiral bound sketchbook, she takes picture of herself wearing garments she is working on and annotates it in high details. That was the main inspiration for the brand, I wanted it to feel so personal like we are in her journal. Each piece is made to order and to size by her own two hands, her products are not some high-end store, its personally crafted items and should feel like the brand is hers.

Outcome

I hope that Michaela would like the outcome, she has such a quirky outlook on life and I think this re-brand would please her. It was hard at first finding a set in stone concept, especially because yes it does go against the norm of other luxury clothing brands, but she is different, shr cares about her craft and always aims to make it better.
